The Health Agency announces a decline of 10% cases for the week of October 3-9, 2022 compared to the week of September 26 – October 2. There were 14,333 cases for this past week or a 7-day average of 2,048 new daily cases. These numbers are still highly under reported as many antigen kits are unavailable in some drug stores (indirectly demonstrating that the slightly higher sales indicates higher utilization as well). There were 256 deaths for the past week with 29 of them occurring the past 2 weeks.
Healthcare utilization is slightly up for non-ICU beds at 27.2% (from 26.2% the past week) with ICU bed utilization unchanged at 24.3%. The severe and critical admissions are down from 753 to 669 for the past week.
There were 2106 new cases and 33 added deaths with positivity rate slightly lower at 13.7% to start off the Monday. NCR owned 837 of the cases for the day.
Quezon City continued to bring the haul with 191 cases. LGUs in NCR with double digits were: Manila 89, Tagging 73, Makati 66, Pasig 63, Caloocan 54, Pasay City 48, Las Pines 46, Paranaque 36, Valenzuela 35, Muntinlupa 34, Mandaluyong and Marikina 33 and San Juan 14.
Provinces with triple digits were: Cavite 168, Rizal 106, and Bulacan 101. Those with more than 50 but less than 100 cases were: Laguna 71, Pampanga 54, Iloilo 66, Cebu 62 and Davao del Sur 55. South Cotabato had 47 cases, while Sultan Kudarat had 16.
