The week of October 31 to November 6, 2022 saw a large decline in the number of cases, in spite of the 7-day 11.1% positivity rate average. The 30% drop (compared to the week of October 24-30) saw a 7-day average of 907 cases due to lesser testing due to the 4-day long weekend.
The deaths, however, remained high at 243 with 28 deaths considered ‘fresh’.
Healthcare utilization was lower with non ICU bed at 24.3% and ICU bed at 20.6% nationally.
The Health Agency announces 1553 new cases with positivity reset today and is at 9.8%. There were 17 added deaths. NCR owned 342 cases.
As the long weekends are over, the artificial decline in cases also comes to an end. While the cases in NCR are up, only Quezon City reported 88 cases while 11 other LGUs reported less than 50 cases: Manila 44, Parañaque 30, Makati and Taguig 27 each, Caloocan and Muntinlupa 18 each, Valenzuela 17, Pasay City and Las Piñas 16 each, Marikina 13 and Pasig 11.
The provinces raked in the numbers today, led by Davao del Sur with 165 cases, Cebu 96, Iloilo 82, Negros Occidental 67, Laguna 64, Tarlac 37, Rizal and Nueva Vizcaya 34.
