1009 new cases and 18 added deaths on 11.14.2022

The Health Agency announces 1009 new cases with 8.7% positivity (reset as today is Monday) with 18 added deaths.

The haul today continued to come from the provinces with Cebu leading with 90 cases followed by Cavite 68, Davao del Sur 60, Benguet 58 (39 from Baguio City), Iloilo 44, Laguna 42, Nueva Vizcaya 36, Rizal 34, and Bukidnon 30.

NCR continued to see lower cases with 229 (22%) of the share today. This was led by Quezon City 54. Six other LGUs had low double digits: Manila 35, Makati 23, Pasig 20, Las Piñas and Pasay City 19 each and Parañaque 10.

The week in review showed a 43% increase in cases for the week November 7-13, 2022 compared to the previous week of October 31 – November 6. Again, the 4-days long weekend in the previous week added to the lower cases (that were already low from the get go due to under testing and under reporting). The 7-day average of the Philippines is up at 1,296 daily cases compared to the 900+ daily cases the previous week.

Healthcare utilization is stable with non-ICU bed utilization at 25.8% and ICU bed utilization at 21.3%. Severe and critical admissions have no significant change with 613 cases. There were 113 deaths added the past week, with 41 of them occurring in the last two weeks.
